Google Wave creating waves even before hitting the waters

Google Wave is promising to give us a communication and sharing platform we never had before.

This is how Google defines a Wave

  • A wave is equal parts conversation and document. People can communicate and work together with richly formatted text, photos, videos, maps, and more.
  • A wave is shared. Any participant can reply anywhere in the message, edit the content and add participants at any point in the process. Then playback lets anyone rewind the wave to see who said what and when.
  • A wave is live. With live transmission as you type, participants on a wave can have faster conversations, see edits and interact with extensions in real-time.

Some cool features that I could see are

  • The person with whom you are conversing being able to see what you are typing without having to wait till you hit the enter or go button.
  • Two persons being able to converse in two different languages and google acting as the translator in real time.
  • Lots of gadgets or widgets enabling one to add polls or share photos, maps etc, to make the discussion more animated and colorful without having to do much.

So guys if can’t wait for Wave to be launched and want to sign up to being the first one to be notified when Google launches this product just sign up here.
